Role:                    Multi-Skilled Engineer  

Hours:                 Various shift patterns to a rolling 24/7

Location:            Borehamwood (no nearby public transport)

BPL's head office is based in Borehamwood, and due to growth and expansion of the site, we are looking for Multi-skilled Engineers to work within our production and site services teams.

Our talented engineers are responsible for the maintenance, calibration, repair, and continual development of all equipment and plant services within the mechanical and electrical scope of the site's operation.

As a Multi-skilled Engineer you will undertake the following duties;

  • Maintain, calibrate, repair, set-up machinery, equipment, and plant services ensuring continual improvement with due regard to all relevant guidelines and practices.
  • Install, commission, and develop complex pharmaceutical equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement to all engineering processes and procedures through knowledge, innovation and teamwork.
  • Assist with Installation, Operational, and Process Qualification processes for new and existing equipment.
  • Make decisions relating to the successful completion of each task in hand, including - but not limited to;

      Root cause identification

      Technical specifications

      Operational requirements

      Maintenance planning and scheduling

Experience to make you successful in the role;

To be successful in the role you will have experience of working in a pharmaceutical, food process, FMCG organisation and will be a qualified engineer who has the experience and capability to perform Engineering and Maintenance activities to a high standard on Pharmaceutical and associated equipment, to include; Filling Lines, Packing Lines, Dry Heat Sterilisers and Autoclaves.

HNC or equivalent formal qualification in main discipline or, Full indentured apprenticeship with experience and additional study, or a formal qualification in at least one other engineering discipline
